Meet- Taka Sharon, the 14 year-old becomes the youngest Obstetric fistula survivor in our Mumias rehabilitation and reintegration center.

Today, as she embarks on a new life transforming and empowering journey, she’s grateful for the second chance at a normal life. Coming from abject poverty, she did not have the means to go to school and married young, she suffered prolonged obstructed labor and later a stillbirth and fistula in 2021. She was successfully repaired last year thanks to the charity Fistula Foundation
