Throwing it back to last months fistula workshop and celebrating the tremendous results of partnerships. We pause for a moment and reflect on the recently concluded National Fistula workshop of which Women And Development Against Distress In Africa(WADADIA) was a part. We are humbled to be part of the change the nation so desires and contributing towards the development of a national fistula work plan that will integrate fistula care and surgery into routine health service delivery in the Country.

The three day high level meeting allowed sufficient time for bold and strategic contributions from the Ministry of Health, Kenya, surgeons and partners namely Amref Health Africa in Kenya AMREF Flying Doctors Safaricom Foundation M-Pesa Foundation UNFPA and Fistula Foundation and Johnson and Johnson.

The time allowed for incredible bonding, exchange of ideas and best practices and a shared understanding, way forward and trends in Fistula care, treatment and reintegration- we are indeed taking a solid step closer in ending obstetric fistula and rebuilding the lives of survivors by 2030.
