Hello #monday today, we get to focus on fistula prevention.

Community outreaches and targeted sensitization meetings are pivotal in getting the word out on key obstetric fistula messages and proves over and over again to be effective in the prevention of the devastating yet treatable child birth injury.

Our field teams are working round the clock, intensifying efforts to end obstetric fistula, moving from one remote area and village to the next, engaging with village heads and members on sexual reproductive health, and the prevention and treatment of Fistula.

Our Bungoma Field officer, Ms. Ramadan Opiyo, held a successful fistula sensitization on Saturday at Chepkube, Cheptais, that saw two women referred to Gynocare women’s fistula hospital for free reconstructive surgery, Gynocare is a treatment partner in the Kenya fistula treatment network
