hursday Greetings & Welcome to August! 🎉

How are you doing folks?

Today, we are feeling a lot of things but most of all, we are feeling grateful and hopeful.

We are ready for the new and more exciting chapter in our programming, want to stay locked and be the first to get all the gist? Then it’s plain and simple, keep tabs on our pages!

First, let’s celebrate #Survivorship and #newbegining

We want to introduce you to someone truly special who embodies resilience and hope. Meet Esther, our youngest trainee in the Mumias Reintegration and Rehabilitation Program. At just 16 years old, she’s a two-time survivor of physical and sexual assault, and obstetric fistula from Buserere, Uganda.

Life hasn’t been easy for Esther; as an orphan cared for by her elderly grandparents, she’s faced unimaginable challenges over the past three years.

Her journey led her to us, thanks to the power of social media, repaired at Gynocare Women Hospital- a leading fistula hospital in the country funded by the charity Fistula Foundation, her dignity was restored.

Since joining our program in June, she’s been taking bold steps towards rebuilding her life through literacy, life, and vocational skills training.

Now part of our family, Esther is learning dressmaking skills that will not only boost her self-esteem but also enable her to contribute positively to her community.

This month and as always, Women And Development Against Distress In Africa(WADADIA) is committed to enhancing the well-being of our communities. Through comprehensive psychosocial support, economic empowerment, and reproductive health services, we’re dedicated to creating a safer, more hopeful future for individuals like Esther.

Stay tuned for more updates on our upcoming events and the incredible stories of transformation happening right here at WADADIA. Together, we make a difference.
