This Boxing Day, we bring you hope and healing!

Today’s story of #hope focuses on Amina Raphael, a 22-year-old mother of two from Kisumu Ndogo, Malindi. After undergoing reconstructive surgery for a 3rd-degree perineal tear during our November #FreeMedicalCamp at WADADIA – Habibat Mother and Child Holistic Health and Training Hospital, Amina is healed and her smile restored.

She shared the incredible news with our psychosocial support and follow-up teams that continue to check in on her, ensuring she adheres to post repair instructions and accord her all the help she requires to recover.

Her wound has healed pretty nicely.

She’s back to her everyday routine, even tackling festive kitchen chaos with joy.

She’s ready to take an active role in raising her children—something she couldn’t comfortably do before.
