TACKLING SEXUAL GENDER BASED VIOLENCE IN KENYA.
Gender-based violence has reached alarming levels in our country, exacerbated by economic challenges. But there’s hope! Our Founder and Lead Director Ms. Habiba C N Mohamed an inspiring changemaker is taking the problem into her own hands in the communities and leading efforts to ensure survivors get the much needed psychosocial support, legal support and economic empowerment opportunities.

Thanks to her passion, we at Women And Development Against Distress In Africa(WADADIA) we’re taking bold action against this scourge by actively raising awareness and getting men involved in the fight to #endgbv
• We offer immediate aid, screenings, and referrals for victims seeking medical care.
• We collaborate closely with law enforcement to ensure justice prevails.
• Our dedicated counselors provide personalized support through face-to-face visits and regular check-ins.
This week, our Kakamega field officer, Ms. Fatuma Ramadhan visited Maximilla Akinyi Oduor at her home in Koyonzo, Namalasire Village. Maximilla, a mother of seven, was connected with a local support group for survivors of gender-based violence.
