Strategic Partnerships Strengthening Holistic Care for Women.
WADADIA was honored to host Flying Doctors Chief Executive Officer Tanya Nduati and a team from M-PESA Foundation led by Sophie Onyango, Manager of Foundation Programmes, for a strategic engagement at our Kilifi facility.
The visit marked an important opportunity to deepen partnerships, strengthen collaboration, and showcase WADADIA’s holistic model of care for women affected by obstetric fistula, childbirth injuries, and other reproductive health conditions.
The teams were received by WADADIA Founder and Lead Director Habiba Mohamed, who led an orientation of WADADIA’s clinical services and programmatic work.

A key focus of the engagement was WADADIA’s flagship HER Dignity Pathway, with particular interest in the organization’s mental health and psychosocial support model.
Habiba, a psychologist and social change programming specialist, highlighted that recovery for women affected by obstetric fistula extends far beyond surgical repair.
Many women arrive at WADADIA carrying years of emotional trauma, stigma, shame, social rejection, and psychological distress.
For this reason, psychosocial support remains a critical pillar in WADADIA’s programming.
Through counselling, safe spaces, structured emotional support, peer healing, and reintegration interventions, WADADIA supports women through a complete healing journey—from isolation and despair to dignity, resilience, and restored purpose.
The discussions also explored WADADIA’s broader approach covering awareness creation, client identification, referrals, surgical care, community engagement, and survivor reintegration.
The engagement provided valuable opportunities for shared learning and identifying areas for future collaboration.
WADADIA extends sincere gratitude to M-PESA Foundation for its remarkable philanthropic contribution toward community transformation and Flying Doctors for their invaluable support in facilitating expert surgical care during humanitarian surgical camps.
These partnerships continue to strengthen WADADIA’s ability to restore dignity and transform lives.
WADADIA remains committed to collaborating with like-minded partners to improve healthcare access and create lasting impact in vulnerable communities.
