Meet Wasia and Teresa.

In 2003, Wasia from Kakamega County and Teresa from Busia County welcomed their last-born children. What should have been a joyful moment turned into over a decade of pain and isolation due to Obstetric Fistula—a childbirth condition caused by prolonged, obstructed labor often without medical invention.

For more than 10 years, these women endured stigma and abandonment, as friends and family turned away.

During our door-to-door sensitization campaign, the Wadadia field team discovered these women. After counseling and screening, they took a bold step toward reclaiming their lives.

Today, Wasia and Teresa are headed to Cherangany Nursing Hospital and Gynocare Women’s Hospital for free, high-quality reconstructive surgeries funded by the Fistula Foundation

At Wadadia, we believe in holistic healing. Our follow-up team will support these women every step of the way, ensuring they follow post-repair care, receive counseling, and rebuild their lives with dignity.

Our first surgical camp is kicking off in early March.

🏥 Our sister organization WADADIA-Habibat Mother and Child Holistic Health And Training Hospital is joining forces with us to provide free quality reconstructive repairs for women in need in the coastal region

🤝 Together, we aim to address neglected women’s surgical conditions and bring hope to those who need it most.

💖 But we can’t do it alone! We urgently need YOUR help to make this life-changing initiative a success.
