Meet Margaret Waweru, a 56-year-old mother of five. Eight years ago, during the birth of her fifth child, she developed an obstetric fistula—a devastating childbirth injury. For years, Margaret endured unimaginable pain, social isolation, and discrimination.

Last November, her life changed during our medical training and free surgical camp. Thanks to our sister organization, WADADIA-Habibat Mother and Child Holistic Health And Training Hospital, Margaret’s condition was successfully repaired. Today, she is dry, healed, and ready to live a normal life again.

Now, Margaret stands with us to raise awareness about childbirth-related injuries—conditions that are preventable, treatable, and deserve urgent attention.
