The Grand Opening of WADADIA Habibat Mother & Child Hospital
Incredible moments were celebrated today as we officially launched WADADIA Habibat Mother and Child Holistic Health and Training Hospital. This milestone was marked by the Deputy Governor of Kilifi County Flora Mbetsa Chibule and The County’s Head of Divisions Reproductive and Maternal Health Dr. Edward Serem, who officially opened the facility, symbolizing a significant step forward in healthcare for mothers and children in Kilifi and its enviro’s.
The day was filled with inspiration as two brave Fistula survivors Melvin and Saida shared their powerful stories, reminding us all of the strength and resilience within every challenge.
Our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible partners and friends for gracing the occasion and joining us on this journey – Lindsey Pollaczek of the Fistula Foundation, and representatives from Amref Health Africa in Kenya, The Flying Doctors’ Society of Africa -FDSA, Kilifi Department of Health and Sanitation Services, Rotary Club of Malindi, and the Caris Foundation. Together, we continue to improve and transform lives.
Our Founder and Lead Director Ms. Habiba C N Mohamed brought us back to the roots of WADADIA, sharing the vision that has driven us for years: to provide holistic and accessible medical care for women and children, fostering a family-centered approach that leads to better outcomes for our patients. She is all about treating illness while nurturing health and empowering families. A cause she’s passionate about and just about wraps up her purpose.
