Day Two Wrap-Up: Strengthening Clinical Excellence and Ethical Practice.

WADADIA–Habibat Hospital concluded Day Two of its Health Service Providers Training on Holistic Care and Treatment for Women with Childbirth and Other Pelvic Floor Injuries.

The day focused on strengthening clinical accuracy, ethical standards, and coordinated referral systems ahead of the upcoming surgical camp.

Dr. A. Wanjala, Obstetric Gynaecologist and Fistula Surgeon, guided participants through:

  • Comprehensive patient history taking
  • Structured and safe physical examinations
  • Clear and compassionate communication of diagnosis

These competencies are foundational to safe surgical outcomes and informed decision-making.

The afternoon sessions, led by WADADIA’s Founder and Lead Director, explored:

  • Integrating social support into treatment planning
  • Strengthening informed consent processes
  • Navigating ethical dilemmas
  • Safe admission protocols

Lead Fistula Nurse Stephen Katumbo facilitated discussions on referral systems and linkages, emphasizing coordinated care across community, facility, and county health structures.

At WADADIA, quality care is system-driven and patient-centred. Patient safety is embedded in every step from first contact to full reintegration.

As surgeries approach, this training ensures that providers across public and private sectors are aligned to deliver care that is safe, compassionate, and accountable.
