Beyond Treatment: Supporting Survivors to Rebuild

At WADADIA Habibat Hospital, we believe that healing should not end when a patient leaves the hospital.

For women affected by obstetric fistula and gender-based violence, recovery can involve rebuilding confidence, livelihoods and economic independence alongside their physical health.

That is why WADADIA connects medical care with reintegration support, including vocational skills training, digital literacy and financial literacy.

A powerful example is Rose, a fistula survivor who has become a hairdressing trainer. Today, she uses her skills and lived experience to train fellow survivors.

Her journey demonstrates the value of creating opportunities for survivors to become active participants in their own economic recovery and to support others walking a similar path.

At WADADIA Habibat Hospital, our vision of recovery goes beyond treatment.

It is about helping women regain skills, confidence, agency and opportunities to rebuild their lives.

Because healing should open the door to a future with dignity and possibility.
