A Heartfelt Thank You: A New Year Message from WADADIA’s Lead Director

As I enter the new year, my heart is filled with gratitude. I am counting my blessings, and yes, you are one of those blessings. Thank you for being in my life and making 2024 a year of Impact.

Allow me to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who supported WADADIA in 2024 and enabled us to be where we are today.

To our staff and volunteers: Your efforts have touched countless lives and restored families and formed the very essence of our mission. You have served with passion and dedication, demonstrating empathy and compassion for our clients. May God reward your efforts with endless blessings. Though 2024 brought its share of challenges, some of which tested our resolve, we made it through your teamwork, commitment, and determination. Thank you for serving with your hearts and trusting me to steer your ship.

To our partners: I extend my sincere appreciation to Fistula Foundation Amref Health Africa in KenyaThe Flying Doctors’ Society of Africa -FDSAKenya, @AmplifyChange Voice, Kit Brazer, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and the many other organizations and individuals who believe in our vision. Your contributions, financial support, in-kind donations, technical support, or collaborative spirit have been instrumental in our success. We can never thank you enough for your trust and the difference we’ve made together.

To the Ministry of Health at the county and national levels: Your trust and collaboration have been pivotal to our mission. Thank you for creating the space and conducive environment to serve humanity. Knowing that we can walk into your offices and be listened to gives us confidence that we are in this together.

To our Board of Governance: Thank you for holding us grounded to our values while we strive to adapt to the ever-evolving community needs. We are grateful for your steadfast leadership and wise counsel.

To our Friends of WADADIA: Thank you for always cheering us on and keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. Your thoughtful feedback and unwavering support assure us that we are never alone.

To our project beneficiaries, the courageous women and girls we serve, thank you for your trust, strength, and determination. You are the reason we exist, and your stories inspire us to keep going. You have taught me lessons that no academic institution can offer. I will be forever grateful for allowing me to walk this journey with you. I want you to know that your resilience fuels our mission.

To my family and friends: What would I do without you? Your prayers, support, and wise counsel carry me on my darkest days. You give me the time and space to serve humanity while holding me accountable to our family values. You are a gift for which I am always grateful.

We embrace 2025 with hope and determination. We remain steadfast in our commitment to Healing, Empowering, and Restoring Dignity for marginalised women and girls. Together, we will continue to challenge stigma, break barriers, and create lasting change. Let this commitment inspire us as we step into the new year.
