Day One: WADADIA’s Free Gynaecology and Fistula Surgical Camp Begins in Malindi.

HER DIGNITY: Heal, Empower, Restore Dignity

The first day of WADADIA’s Free Gynaecology and Fistula Surgical Camp is underway at WADADIA-Habibat Mother & Child Holistic Health and Training Hospital in Malindi, Kilifi County.

The camp, running from 2–8 November 2026, is providing care to women and girls affected by obstetric fistula, childbirth-related injuries and other neglected surgical conditions.

On Day One, women have accessed psychosocial support, while others are preparing for surgery or receiving treatment. This reflects WADADIA’s holistic approach: placing women at the centre of care and recognising that healing involves more than medical intervention. Compassion, emotional support and dignity are integral to the journey.

Our clinical, psychosocial and surgical teams are ready to support women throughout the camp. In this video, our Lead Nurse shares an update on the work underway.

Guided by our credo, “We believe in the inherent dignity of every woman and girl,” WADADIA remains committed to implementing client-centred interventions that heal, empower and restore dignity to marginalized women and girls.
