One Team, One Vision: Strengthening Partnerships to End Fistula in Kenya.
WADADIA joined government leaders, development partners, professional associations, and implementing organizations at the National Fistula Committee of Experts (CoE) Meeting a key platform for reviewing national progress, strengthening coordination, and setting shared priorities in the journey to end fistula in Kenya.
The meeting provided space to reflect on progress made by fistula implementing partners across counties, review data and programme performance, and align interventions with national priorities. Key focus areas included strengthening routine fistula services, improving coordination and harmonisation of partner activities, advancing policy and strategic actions, and laying the groundwork for a National Fistula Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) Strategy.

Partners collectively agreed on critical action points, including the need for a harmonised reporting framework, expanded engagement of private and professional actors in identification and treatment, inclusion of additional cadres in technical discussions, and strengthened collaboration to respond to emerging pelvic floor injuries in high-burden areas.
As a core implementing partner, WADADIA contributes to this national effort through prevention, screening, treatment referrals, psychosocial support, economic reintegration, and community engagement working in close collaboration with government and partners to ensure survivor-centred, sustainable impact.
🤝 Ending fistula is a shared responsibility.
Through coordinated action, evidence-based strategies, and strong partnerships, we move closer to a Kenya where every woman has access to timely care, dignity, and hope.
Together, we will end fistula.
