This Valentine’s season, let’s extend our hearts to women in need of life-changing surgeries.
We’re just two weeks away from our first surgical camp of the year, focused on childbirth-related injuries and neglected surgical conditions affecting women. Our teams have been working tirelessly—here’s a glimpse of this week’s activities:
Community Outreach in Daba
Our staff Seline Selly and Hancy Ngala engaged with healthcare workers at AIC Dispensary Daba, empowering them with knowledge on fistula care and prevention. Later, they held crucial conversations with community members at Daba Center and male elders in Kelemadui, ensuring that fistula awareness reaches every corner of society.
Spreading Awareness on Radio Jahazi 87.7
To reach an even wider audience, Program Officer Glori Chammy and Psychosocial support officer Edwin Ogoma took to Radio Jahazi to discuss fistula awareness, prevention, signs, treatment, and care—bringing hope to many women who might be suffering in silence. The team screens and refers women suffering for treatment. However, many more are awaiting life changing surgeries – and we need your help.
