Meet Mr. & Mrs. Okore, a beautiful and loving pair who have bravely battled obstetric fistula . Their journey hasn’t been easy:
• They’ve visited at least 5 treatment facilities and hospitals
• Faced discouragement due to high costs and lack of interest from potential helpers
Their story takes a remarkable turn!
After learning about WADADIA’s recent In-reach programme and the launch of WADADIA-Habibat Mother and Child Holistic Health and Training Hospital, they took action. Following screening and counseling, Mrs. Patricia Okore underwent successful repair surgery on August 26th!
Today, this resilient couple shares their heartfelt gratitude to the medical team at Women And Development Against Distress In Africa(WADADIA) especially our Founder and Lead Director Ms. Habiba C N Mohamed who took time and held deep conversations with patients encouraging them and commended their resilence and Fistula Foundation who funded the reconstructive surgeries. The two are eager to return to normal life and regain the respect of their peers.
